Dhobi G Terms and Conditions

This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and is published in accordance with the Information Technology (Guidelines for Intermediaries and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. These terms and conditions govern your use of Dhobi G services, including our website and mobile application.

Terms of Use

These terms of use, along with other policies like the Cancellation & Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and other documents (collectively "Policies"), govern your access and usage of Dhobi G's on-demand laundry services, Dhobi GO, and institutional laundry solutions, Dhobi HUB. Please review these Terms carefully before using any of our services. By downloading, accessing, or using the Dhobi G platform, you agree to comply with the Terms and Policies. If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue the use of our services.

The Dhobi G platform is owned and operated by CINKOD TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated under the laws of India, with its registered office at 2nd Floor, Plot no. 89, Pillayar Koil Street, Kaikankuppam, Valasaravakkam, 2nd Floor, Plot no. 89, Pillayar Koil Street, Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, 600087. Wherever the context so requires, "you," "user," or "User" refers to any individual or legal entity using Dhobi G services. "We," "us," or "our" refers to Dhobi G.

We provide a platform that connects individual and institutional clients with our laundry services. Dhobi GO provides subscription-based laundry services, while Dhobi HUB offers large-scale laundry solutions for educational institutions.

Account Registration and Eligibility

You may access the platform by creating an account on the Dhobi G website or mobile app (your "Account"). You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of your login credentials and are liable for any activity that occurs under your account.

By registering, you agree that all information provided is truthful and accurate. Dhobi G reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete.

You agree that the commercial terms (pricing, subscriptions, etc.) for each service will be listed and accessible through our platform, subject to change based on demand, locality, and other factors.

Payments

All payments must be made via our app or website through a secure payment gateway. Payments for Dhobi G can be made periodically basis, depending on the chosen subscription plan. You are responsible for providing valid and accurate payment information. We are not liable for any unauthorized use of your credit or debit card.

Sustainability Practices

At Dhobi G, we prioritize eco-friendly practices, such as using laundry machines, eco-friendly detergents, and energy-efficient systems. By using our services, you contribute to a sustainable future by reducing water usage and carbon emissions.

Limitations of Liability

While we strive to offer the best laundry care, Dhobi G is not liable for damages to garments, especially any damage caused by pre-existing conditions (e.g., stains, wear and tear, shrinkage). We do not guarantee color fastness or fabric integrity. Should an issue arise, we will assess it and resolve it to the best of our ability. Dhobi G is also not responsible for any third-party failures.

Privacy and Data Protection

We collect personal information solely for the purpose of service delivery and customer support. Your data will never be shared with third parties, except where required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.

Modifications

These terms may be updated or amended periodically. You are advised to review these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of any changes made.

Handling of Clothes and Complaints

Clothes need to be counted at the time of delivery in front of the delivery guy and any discrepancy be notified at that time only. Clothes will be handed over to security or a friend or neighbour in case of the customer not being available only when a written confirmation is provided from the customer in the form of a mail or text message. The company will need minimum 1 day after the day of complaint to give an update on the issues raised. The company tries to deliver clothes on time but sometimes due to unforeseeable circumstances there might be a delay in delivery.

Some stains are very tough and not covered under this service agreement. So, if the stains don't go, we will not be held responsible. In case of damage to a cloth, the damage should be reported to the company within 1 hour of delivery. In case of damage to a cloth, the company will try to rectify the damage. The maximum compensation is limited to Rs 1000 per garment. The garment for which the compensation is made shall be retained by the company. We take special care in handling all types of cloths. But, due to the basic property of some clothes, they will bleed colours on their own. In such cases, company won't be liable for any loss. The company is not responsible if the customer forgets something in the clothes and it gets damaged and/or misplaced.

It is a strict policy of the company to not process damaged, torn, or stained clothes. It will be done only upon special request and written approval (Either by mail or SMS) from the customer.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Customers can cancel at any time before actual pickup of their order(s). We charge a flat fee for canceling an order pickup, if it is being done after the pickup cut off timing.

Convenience Fees

Within the types of orders provided by Dhobi G, the 'Quickbook’ option does not require you to select services and items from our catalogue. Customers can simply select a pickup and delivery date, and book their laundry pickup. We charge a flat fee for placing an order through this mode.

Promotions, Offers, Discounts and Coupons

Promotions, Offers, Discounts and Coupons are valid for a limited time only. Dhobi G reserves the right to modify or cancel coupons at any time. If you do not purchase based on the qualifying items, services or order value, or percentage discount to your Dhobi G Cart when the promotion, offer, discount or coupon is in effect, the discount will not apply.

The coupon applies only to qualifying items, services or order value, or percentage discount displaying the offer message on the item, service or order value, or percentage discount description.

Shipping Policy

We provide doorstep pickup and delivery services for all laundry orders. The specific details of your shipping options are:

  • Pickup and Delivery Timing: Our team will collect and deliver clothes based on the schedule selected via our app or website. In case of any delays due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you in advance.
  • Delivery Location: Clothes will be delivered to the address specified at the time of booking. If the customer is unavailable, the clothes can be left with a security guard, neighbor, or friend, provided written consent (via email or SMS) is given by the customer.
  • Express Delivery: Customers opting for our RapidDG express service will receive their clothes within a 4-hour turnaround time (available in select areas).

Please note that any delays due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., traffic, weather) may affect the delivery times, but our team will strive to complete deliveries promptly.

Return Policy

At Dhobi G, we handle all laundry orders with the utmost care. However, in case of any issues or dissatisfaction with our services, we have the following return policy:

  • Reporting Issues: Any complaints about the quality of service, damaged clothing, or other issues must be reported to the company within 1 hour of delivery.
  • Review Process: Once an issue is reported, Dhobi G will review the complaint and provide a resolution update within 1 working day after the complaint is raised.
  • Damaged Clothes: If a garment is damaged due to our services, the company will attempt to rectify the damage. If rectification is not possible, the maximum compensation will be limited to Rs 1000 per garment. The garment for which compensation is made will be retained by the company.
  • Handling Colors and Fabric: Certain fabrics may bleed colors naturally due to their inherent properties, for which Dhobi G will not be held liable. We strongly advise customers to inform us of any special care instructions in advance.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is designed to ensure customer satisfaction, while also considering the operational costs involved in delivering our services:

  • Order Cancellations: Customers can cancel their orders anytime before the actual pickup. However, a flat cancellation fee will be charged if the cancellation is done after the pickup cut-off time.
  • Rescheduling Orders: Rescheduling of pickups or deliveries is allowed before the actual pickup or delivery. A flat rescheduling fee will be applied if the change is made after the pickup/delivery cut-off time.
  • Refund Process: In cases where Dhobi G is unable to fulfill the laundry service due to any unforeseen issues on our end, customers will be eligible for a refund. Refunds will be processed within 5-7 working days through the original payment method.
  • Non-refundable Services: Certain services such as Quickbook or RapidDG express orders may not be eligible for a full refund once the service is initiated.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
